Product & Architecture
- Product scalability and performance limits
- Technical debt and third-party dependencies
- Release, testing and incident management maturity
- Product roadmap credibility against the business plan
Stratos runs the buyer's review before the sale process begins, helps your team address the issues that could delay or reprice the deal, and assembles the evidence behind your product, data and organisation.
The Challenge
Buyers will test whether the product can sustain the growth plan, whether the technology creates hidden liabilities and whether the company can operate without a small number of key people.
When the answers are buried in source code, inconsistent metrics, missing security evidence or undocumented decisions, management loses control of the diligence narrative. Questions multiply. The transaction slows. Buyers gain room to challenge the plan and the price.
We run the buyer's technology review early enough to turn weaknesses into a sequenced plan and strengths into evidence.
Confidential. Sequenced around the transaction calendar. Limited to what matters for buyer review.
Our Expertise
A buyer-style review led by former founders, operating executives and CTOs who understand how technical findings affect a transaction.
Independent challenge. Hands-on delivery.
Stratos reviews the company as a buyer would, prepares management for the questions that follow and works with the CTO on the fixes that matter before the process begins.
Where remediation is required, our software, data and security specialists can work with the engineering team through delivery. Every action remains tied to a buyer question, a transaction risk or evidence expected in the data room.
The Stratos Approach
By the time buyer diligence begins, management should know every material technology issue, who owns it and how it will be explained.
Successful Exit
Lascom entered its exit preparation with a legacy PLM product, around one third of revenue recurring and a technology base that limited user experience and release velocity.
From 2024 to 2025, Stratos helped the company structure and execute an incremental modernisation plan. The product moved towards a cloud-ready SaaS model, delivery was packaged around a focused vertical market, and management built a clearer technology and product story for buyer review.
Lascom was subsequently acquired by Aptean.

We review the product, architecture, data, security and organisation through the questions a buyer and its advisors are likely to ask.
Each finding is assessed against valuation challenge, execution risk, management credibility and time lost during diligence.
We help the team address the points carrying the most deal risk and document the work as it is completed.
We repeat the assessment, test management's answers and prepare the materials required for the technology workstream.
